From a Small Group to a Big Family
OpenEnglish began in 2024 with a simple conversation among a few Iranian students. We saw so many friends who wanted to speak English, but either the cost of language classes was too high or they didn't have enough time. We started a small Telegram group to discuss everyday topics once a week. We couldn't believe how quickly it grew — everyone was hungry for real conversation practice.
Today, OpenEnglish is a completely volunteer‑run and free project. Our teachers come from within the community — people with a high level of English who want to share their knowledge. We never charge learners anything, and every session is an opportunity for collective growth.

Equal Access
No one should be deprived of language education because of financial barriers. Our classes will always be free.
Volunteer Growth
Anyone with a C1 level or higher can become a teacher and gain teaching experience. Together we are stronger.
Focus on Speaking
Unlike traditional methods, our classes directly target speaking skills. Less theory, more conversation.
Our Team
